I need some help with a question on the steering shaft. I have read the posts in the DIY and Steering section.
It sounds like the home made fix of welding the end and putting a grease fitting in appeared to make the issue go away.
My buddy and I both have the shft issue. He went to GM, told them about this weld thing, they claim they know about but that they have "upgraded" the shaft and there is no need to do that. Just buy the new "upgraded" shaft and the problem will go away.
Does anyone know if this new upgraded shaft is really out there and it solves the problem? Its about $76 bucks to buy it.
