this happend 3 times now. i was driving to work and its pretty heavy traffic in the morning stop and go. i just starting to go and i gave it pedal and the truck had no power for a few seconds and at that point a bunch of black smoke came out. i had no throtle repsonse or anything. i dont know what it is. my chip is on 2nd setting and i dont lauch or anything just normal driving. then the other day my wife was driving down the highway she said she wasnt going that fast and the truck just lost power and throtle response and the check engine light came on then went off and was fine after that. the truck has 117k on it and i am religous with the fluids. im lost. no codes btw.

I had sent my edge back at lest 10 times,call edge :mad: and get and the # off the box befor you call

You should check your MAF sensor too and see if it is dirty. If so get some cleaner at parts store and clean it. Just some thing easy to check. But it could be the Edge.

Just got done cleaning the MAF sensor and changing the fuel filtre. I'm taking it out now to road test...

The guy at NAPA said to try the Lucas injector cleaner as well.

After cleaning the MAF sensor and replacing the fuel filtre, I have lots of power again. I'm running the Lucas injector cleaner through a tank. Also plan to look for holes in the turbo tubes and clear the codes to see if anything else shows up.

Next time you change your fuel filter fill it up with Sea-foam. It will clean the injectors. You can also run it in the tank. Then put a quart of 2 cycle oil in the tank next time you fill up. It will lubricate everything. It should run as smooth as the day it was new (well maybe not that smooth ,but close).

try not running the programmer and see what happens? if not call edge or maybe you have a large fuel leak? change the fuel filter maybe.

What is Sea Foam? Is the Lucas product just as good?
I was very happy to have power back...but I would do anything to get it working even better. Should I take the Predator tune out for a bit?

Sea-foam is in a metal can white with red lettering, looks like a can from the 60's. Get it at local parts store or wal-mart or something like that.
