Dealer called me yesterday and told me i need to get there asap because they need to update the tcm. They allready did the cold weather update last winter and i told them that but they said there is another update for thet program. I'm going in at 9:00 this mornig i will find more out and keep everyone posted. The guy on the phone said they were calling all duramax owners to get in and get this done asap. He said it was very important.

Yes there is a new cold weather reflash. Some people will already have it, others will not. Your dealer can tell you if you have the right one.

Is there more information out on this? I haven't recieved any call and the dealer called me about another issue and said nothing, haven't recieved a letter either. The same dealer called a guy I know almost 3 weeks ago saying the same thing get down here. Long story short, he's out of the country so he has not gone to the dealer.

Just wanting to know because the last reflah GM did caused issues with PPE tuners.

This is a TCM reflash for Extreme Cold Weather (-40 Degrees). The latest cold weather cal came out in June 2008, so its been avaliable a while. Don't know how reflashing the transmission controller affects your tune.

Maybe you dealer was only calling those that don't have the latest?
