I was wondering how much of a drop I need on my receiver. I have a 12" lift and not sure if a 10" drop would be enough or do I need something custom made with heim joints?

Level your trailer useing the crank on your trailer. Back up to your trailer and measure.

I don't have a lift but did the same procedure.

Looks really dumb to have a lifted truck and a trailer that is pointed toward the sky.

Just my opinion of course.

yeah I know what you mean..on my last truck I had an 8" lift and got away with an 8" drop down...this one is higher so I am not sure if I need something custom to support the drop down?

mine runs level with a 2" drop on a stock suspension heighth and tires, so maybe you can go from there.

The top of the ball should be 26" from the ground. Then hook up trailer, should be level.
