TheBac 04-07-2005, 12:14 PM Damn, UPS has got to lower it's shipping rates. We're losing too much volume from small businesses.
Good for you, Slick!!!! :ro)

Micheal Tomac 04-07-2005, 12:31 PM so if TTS ships via FexEx it only takes weeks instead of months to get an Extreme?
TheBac 04-07-2005, 12:52 PM So Slick, when are you making the pilgrimage to Eric's shop?
It woulda only been 2 weeks by UPS!!!
Tom :pig:
Diesel Power 04-07-2005, 01:19 PM so if TTS ships via FexEx it only takes weeks instead of months to get an Extreme?
I'd still rather wait months for the best performing product for my truck....
btw- how did the dynoing go on the new turbo?
Slick 04-07-2005, 02:18 PM It didn't have anything to do with who sent it. I just listed who it came from for the heck of it.
Sdaver, I just went ahead and ordered the Xtreme so I knew I would be on the list. Didn't plan on it getting here this quick, but I like surprises.:D
On edit: I don't have the centerlink and sleeves yet if that is what you mean.
dpower 04-07-2005, 02:22 PM Sounds like you are going to have a XTREMELY good time with all the new toys

dmaxalliTech 04-07-2005, 05:31 PM You wont be able to appreciate that tune with no trans...

McRat 04-07-2005, 09:58 PM so if TTS ships via FexEx it only takes weeks instead of months to get an Extreme?
We have pretty much switched to FedEx for our business needs.
There is a new Double XX SuperOvernight ++ service that gets packages there before you even ship them!!
Seriously, FedEx is currently doing a better job than UPS. And they will handle very heavy shipments like engines/trans/machines.
Carbon04 04-07-2005, 10:01 PM I hate both UPS and FedEX....................those who know me know why!!!!! Both companies need to get their $hit together.
Mackin 04-07-2005, 10:04 PM I hate both UPS and FedEX....................those who know me know why!!!!! Both companies need to get their $hit together.

Mike L. 04-07-2005, 10:30 PM so if TTS ships via FexEx it only takes weeks instead of months to get an Extreme?
Some people never see one in their present lifetime. Go figure.:confuzeld
TheBac 04-07-2005, 10:50 PM You guys just slay me.....
Say, anyone hiring or in need of any help?
Uneducated UPS driver soon to need new job. Has a brain and mechanical skills. Very trainable.
I think I need to start playing the Lotto. And get my resume in order.
Slick, sorry for turning this into a FedEx thing. I think it's great you got the Extreme! Now get to Eric for your "required" trans upgrade! :grd:
Tom
dmaxalliTech 04-07-2005, 11:25 PM Hey Tom, if the UPS gig dont pan out... Lemme know, I need a gopher.
LMAO!
Micheal Tomac 04-08-2005, 02:03 AM btw- how did the dynoing go on the new turbo?

Carbon04 04-08-2005, 09:17 AM You know, you could just install the extreme and not install the switch right now. Then you would be stuck in the tow(80hp) mode until the switch is installed. The trans should do just fine at that setting.
ratlover 04-08-2005, 09:54 AM Diito ^ the 80 HP tune is very nice and driveable. Dont install the switch though. it will default you into 80 and remove the temptation to blow your trans up. I know I couldnt resist:muahaha:
_nar_ 04-09-2005, 12:37 AM Get the switch, get the switch... Flip it.... Do it... You know you want too.....
TheBac 04-09-2005, 12:42 AM Next thing we'll be seeing is Slick threatening to kill a rabbit unless he gets $5500 in donations for his transmission! ):h
or
"Please give to the United Duramax Transmission Fund, help a fellow DMax'er out"
Tom
tophog 04-09-2005, 02:54 AM He can appreciate it "once" ...or almost ... :)
You wont be able to appreciate that tune with no trans...
You better give me a call quick!
motovet 04-09-2005, 11:34 AM I didn't care who shipped my Extreme....I didn't like what was charged however. Coulda bought a tank of diesel for that shipping charge.
Slick 04-11-2005, 07:20 AM Hmmm defaults to the 80 tune huh...at least I can have a little taste before the trans.:)
rolloffhill 04-12-2005, 12:20 AM So I guess this would be the best place to ask seeing how 90% on this thread are running TTS, What makes this a better programmer than 6 gun or edge. I just checked out their website for the first time. Seems like a extremely simple upgrade. I use my truck to tote a 20K# load every once in a while but usually just around 15k#. I would like the extra power but wouldn't need it all of the time.
VFRRider 04-12-2005, 12:38 AM There is plenty of search material on the Extreme, a little research will give you the answers. Bottom line, it is the bombers choice, if your looking for the single strongest tune, consensus is look no further. It is also by far the most expensive. If your looking for a modest tune for towing, you have plenty of options.
ratlover 04-12-2005, 09:39 AM The TTS Xtreme blows the Edge and Banks away as far as performance. The tunes you would be looking at are the lower TTS tunes, the Xtreme and the edge arnt really apples and apples-2 different products ment to do differnt things. I drive in the 80hp TTS tune a bit(plow snow ect) and it is a beautifly smooth program. It acts just like stock with more grunt. It also seems to run a bit cooler EGT's than the edge but I was used to the 90 HP egde. The edge offers tons of cool nifty features and stuff to play with. The TTS is just a great program. Edge has pretty good programing too though. The Xtreme is more expensive than his lower tunes. Call Steve at TTS and chat with him. Then decide if you want all the features and nifty stuff the edge/attitude has to offer or if the TTS would better suit you.
rolloffhill 04-12-2005, 09:47 AM Thanks ratlover, that is the kind of answer I was looking for. This thread is filled with tts users and I wanted their opinion. I didn't want to be sent off to do a search. Especially since I read the comment "I would rather wait for the best" or something along those lines, and wanted to hear why it was the best.
pepperidge 04-12-2005, 05:26 PM Hey Tom, if the UPS gig dont pan out... Lemme know, I need a gopher.
LMAO!
SaguaroKid has plenty of Moles would they work instead of a gopher?
