Anyone know where I can get one?? Front plate looks like crapola without a bracket.

I agree, I tried purchasing one from the dealer, took it home and it did not fit, I returned it. It was made of very soft plastic -:t and wasn't shaped for the Silverado Bumper  .

Had the same probl when I bought my '04 and posted on it here. Basically no options but to make your own. I got some nylon spacers from the local h/w store and an license plate frame & longer screws. The spacers push the plate away from the bumper enough that it sits straight up and down and won't bend "around" the bumper. The frame gives it some more strength. Worked so far w/o any probs and less than $10 total.

IIRC, someone made a bracket out of an aluminum plate that was pretty slick. Maybe they'll chime in.

same here, it's actually cleaner than a bracket. also used s/s hardware

I have the same problem with my 03. The problem is the holes in the bumper are very close together (about 4 inches). The holes in the plate are about 7-8 inches apart. There must have been some kind of bracket that held some kind of frame for the plate.

I was pulled over a couple of years ago and got a ticket for not having a plate on the front of my car!!!! Any ideas?

I'd use a piece of flat alum just shy of the width of your license plate + ss screws and nuts to mount the plate to the bar, + nylon spacers + ss screws to mount the bar/plate assembly to the factory plastic inserts.
