I have the turbo master and have tried tweaking it around. No matter what I set it at, I cannot get the boost over 10-11psi. Any suggestions? Thanks.

How many miles are on the IP and injectors? gmctd 04-07-2005, 07:13 AM Iirc, that controller comes with two springs, one for low and one for high Boost ranges.......... The turbo functions on exhaust energy - heat, volume, and velocity. Engine rpm and loading determines exhaust energy. The lighter the loading, the less energy available - 1500 and 2500 series will Boost less than a 3500, because of vehicle weight. But, load any one of them with a heavy trailer, or such - loading creates high energy exhaust - and you'l see greater low rpm Boost levels. Higher crankshaft rpm also creates higher exhaust energy, loaded or not - greater loading means greater hi-rpm energy, here, also. My ole 8500lb bud draft horse spools up almost off-idle, because I leave the aux trans in o\d, resulting in 3.00 final drive - this high loading creates greater exhaust energy at low rpm because EGT is higher. Wanna see quick spool? Wanna see greater Boost? Leave the trans in 5th at 30mph, stab the go-pedal - mine is at 20psi Boost by 35mph, remaining so up to whenever I let off. I have not yet done anything to increase fuel flow yet, but will soon once time permits. But don't you think I should still be able to go higher than 10psi? Yes to the smoke.
