Travelling back from skiing yesterday, Torque converter "lock-up switch" in "on" postion the truck threw a code. I checked the code this morning and came up with code "53". Code 53 with an asterisk relates to a transmission code. Could my lock-up switch be causing this? The switch is a DTDP wired as per Kennedy's instructions. This has worked awesome for four plus years. Once the light came on if I switched it back to the stock position the light would go off. Ten minutes later it came back on in the stock position, I then switched over to the lock position and it went off. I think I have a short somewhere between the switch and the plug. Make sense? Anyone have this problem or code before?
