Anyone know if it is possible to use a Racor fuel filter head to filter coolant, and what kind of filters would one use? This won't be an inline filter setup but rather one that filters across the in/out lines to the heater core. The reason I ask about filter type is that I'm not sure if a fuel filter would hold up well to heat and pressure or if I'd have to go with an oil filter that will fit the Racor head unit. Any thoughts on this?

Summit Racing in Nevada carries Permacool heads & filters for water filtering, very cheap ($32 ?). They are online.
