my truck interior fan in 1-2-3 made no noise, although did not blow real well. 4&5 it would rattle and hum.
today, i pulled out the cabin air filter. nasty. some leaves even. definitely clogged. with the filter out, the fan blew a beautiful huge stream of air out the hole where the filter goes. no hum, no noise. so i figure new filter and i'm all set.
well, i put the new filters in, and the rattle goes away, but a very annoying hum remains. it does not blow hard out the vents. nowhere close to how hard it was blowing out the hole without the filters.
are the filters directional? any suggestions?
