You are going to get many answers on this. You can follow the DIC output info on fuel and oil change if you wish. Normally one can go about 10,000 on oil and 15,000 on fuel filter. The fuel filter is not the perfect thing. It pretty much is based on 15,000 only. First one I had I noticed power lose on acceleration around 12,000. I just go every 7500 miles and do oil and oil filter, fuel filter, allison spin-on, tire rotation, standard lube grease zerks, check the rest of the fluids front and rear differtials and brake, power steering, and anything else i miss. Makes for a nice afternoon job. Hardest is tire rotation. The front end on these trucks are so damn heavy.

Change intervals well, that depends on the oils & filters you use, your driving conditions, your climate or weather conditons, towing not towing all play a factor.

If you want to use a good synthetic oil with a 15k mile guarantee and extend your oil changes then thats a good time to do the trans spin on and fuel filter. Trans every 25k-50k rear ends and T-case at that time.

Do what the manual says...one thing it says is that the type of engine oil used has no effect on the change intervals.
