Can you add homelink off say a denali to an 05 GMC?

Yes you can add homelink... Related: What vehicle consoles would be the most plug and play?

The overhead console from a NON-sunroof equipped tahoe/yukon/suburban/denali/escalade... works nicely (for the '03+ trucks).

Ebay is a good source. JPCustoms has them ($325+). I got mine off ebay last year for a little over $120.

You can also do custom adaptations using homelink modules from many vehicles.

Do a search for homelink, I think there are 4 or 5 good threads on the subject.

I put a HomeLink equipped overhead console out of an 2002 Tahoe on my 2003 and had to take the wire harness out of the 2003 overhead console. Then I have to have one of the reading lamps on to use the HomeLink. I also have an non-operating rear seat heater switch. I didn't want an open hole up there so left in the switch. I pulled the overhead console out of my wifes 2003 Tahoe, and it has a completely different harness in it. More wires and differnt plugs. I understand the HomeLink is an option on some 2005 Pickups. I got my console off of eBay for $65.00
