Had a winshield guy replacing my windshield with my 4-wheeler in the back and he asked me how many times I broke out my back glass. He said he see's that all the time.

Hey, irish yankee I love your grill. Where did you get that from and could you give me idea about pricing and if they make one for a 03?

I always put mine in there , never broke a window yet. You just got to make sure the brakes work good before you drive it up there. And make sure you aren't seeing double!:D

LOL...Sounds all too familiar. My dad drove his ATV through the back window of his pickup truck. After replacing the window that was the next thing he did, buy a trailer.

Buy a BackRack, or similar product. Then you can jump it in without risking a broken window.

I dented my toolbox with the front bumper of my ATV once so I built a ramp out of wood that touched the back of the bed under the toolbox and raised the front of the ATV enough that the bumper cleared the top of my low profile toolbox. Now only to front tires touch the toolbox.
Surely you could build a wood wheel stop that you could put in the bed before you load the ATV.
Would be much cheaper than trailer. I assume you have already spent money on ramps for the truck.

the diamond back covers look like a great idea, but I am sure they are not cheap. I just need to put a tool box in the bed and be done with it. I need to buy a trailer any way. Luckily since I spent so much money with my buddy who did all the work to my wifes LB7 is cuttin me a good deal, $150 installed, and that is tinted with defroster, but that still could have been a $150 worth of beer instead of money to fix my carelessness.

I used to keep a small log in the back off my truck that the four wheeler tire would hit that prevented that from happening. If not my fourwheeler grill would go right thru.

...Until you get used to having the backrack and you load your quad in your buddy's truck without one, whoops! (ask me how I know)

I always use a old tire to place between the 4 wheeler and toolbox. Guess it probably work the same against the front of the bed too.

I don't have a picture of my truck with the atvracks.com but here is one from their website. I hauled my two polaris sportsman on a 2700 mile road trip and it did great. No trailer needed. Haven't used mine much since so may be selling it.

Headache Racks work great.. never broken my back window while loading my Raptor in the back - then again I dont know how most of you load yours, but I tilt my ATV up on the rears and drop the front wheels on my tailgate then lift the back up and push forward.. pretty easy

Yeah it is if you have a small 4 wheeler. I used to do that with my 400EX. Im not even going to try it with this 700 King Quad.

Exactly, I am riding a 660 grizzly, and it takes up every bit of bed space.

if you back it into the bed the tires are against the bed wall and dont have that big bumper like on the front to go through the glass. you fenders and back rack do not stick out farther than the tires do. it cant break the glass haul them all the time like that cause of that reason.

Actually my back rack does stick out lil farther than the back tires. I like to carry a big ice cooler.:drinking:

I made a 6x2 frame w/ a rubber mat to space my winch on my quad away from the window. It works great for short trips. Use the Toyhauler for them long ones. Been looking for a custom deisel tank the same size as framework, but most are too expensive.
