Greetings to all. Newbie here. Well my wife and I had twin boys 7 weeks ago and we have a 5 year old daughter. All I've really had time for so far is gathering parts and reading Forums. I'm attempting a complicated conversion which will have both electric and coolant heat. The electric is a real challenge both $$ and design. I've got a spare IP that I wrapped with Raychem heater cable and regular house insulation (which I have no room for under the hood) and it took 45 minutes to heat it from 50 to 180 degrees. Clayborn heat tape may heat it faster. Need to spend more time on this test. Anyways the goal is to start on WVO during a VT winter, and also to drive to Florida and back on WVO. If I have to compromise I may run a 50% diesel WVO mix. Did a little rough viscosity test and it looks like this 50/50 mixture is the same as diesel at 125 degrees F. Check out my pictures of the Walmart $55 deep cycle 115aH batteries, Omega temp monitor, and other hardware here http://asnowsquall.smugmug.com/gallery/307774/1 (http://asnowsquall.smugmug.com/gallery/307774/1)
Notice were at the top left it says gallery pages as there are 2 pages of pictures right now. If you click on thumbnail the picture loads on the right. If you click on this pictures, another window opens and then you can choose the size you want. Enjoy!
PS. 200 AMP alternator is on its way. Truck will have two alternators!
