you think that this harness is grounding out to the frame?..... wouldn't this blow the fuse?

Hey I just installed mine today and recieved the same message....because this box works with hydrualic brakes you need a 40 amp fuse for the stud labeled " 1* " in the under the hood fuse box, after i installed that the message went away...I remembered when I installed my dads Kelsey brake box the GM harness had a 40 amp Fuse electric taped to the wire loom of the harness an I installed his....hope this helps!!

well, after a week of trouble free towing, i am now getting the same message again "short to battery". i check the wires behind the cab. all of them looked good and i re taped them all back up. is there a quick connector behind the cab that i can un-hook to remove this harness since i don't use it?
as for the fuse. its been in there since the truck was new. checked it and its fine.
any ideas?
