Just a FYI for the van guys with the side doors. Today I had to have the door latch assembly on the smaller of the two cargo doors all welded back together. The latch housing welds broke off the door and had torn the steel of the door in a few spots. My friend at the body shop had to rip it all down and weld it all back together.
It had been working loose for a while now as the door had been harder to close, it always seems like it was still open a little. All back together and painted up, only the inside of the door needed paint.

the side doors on the van are crappy as hell. mine sag, and just recently the hinges are almost seized. i cant even drive the pin out. shitty doors.

I have no issues with the hinges, I grease them when ever I think of it with spray lube. But I do wish I had the sliding door. I have never had an issue with them as long as you keep the track clean and lubed up.
I was just reading a auto body magazine at my friends shop and they had a tool in there for driving the hinge pin out and pressing a new one in there that had a grease fitting. If I remember I will get it and see who made it and where to get it.

It seems like mine do sag, but I always thought it might be from having the truck mount carpet cleaning machine of about 800lbs mounted right there. Over time every van I've had does that, and I've had at least one of each ford, chevy, dodge.
It hasnt changed any since I yanked the equipment out.

it would be nice also, if when you opened the side doors, that they would stay open 90 degrees.

delivering a trailer from the factory to a customer. just staying long enough to unhook.
talked to the customer he said he may refuse it. guess he has had problems with it, got an attorney involved, etc...
So I may be sitting around while they figure out if they want it.
