has anyone else noticed that none of the engine kits even complete or rering kits has head bolts i kinda thought they would be since it is a must to replace them as you would head gaskets or am i missing something? I am :banghead: trying to figure this one

its never really been standard practice IIRC to include the bolts...maybe some way for them to rip you off?

Yea it is a royal PITA ,everything is sold seperate.you will have to order seperate sets for heads,timing and pan, even then they are not complete, and some sets have doubles and gaskets no one uses. some things can only be had by the stealer.

the marine 6.5 kits are as complete as you can get for internal parts compared to OTR kits...
i remember coming across them when i was shopping around for my cummins
and looking at Cummins marine to OTR kits, same part numbers for alot of parts in there

No bolts so you can buy arp studs. Better than bolts. They always leave something out. Northern auto parts has good prices on kits but uses sealed power gaskets.

Northern auto parts does have good prices on kits. Too bad you cant get the kit with 18:1 pistons. Even if a kit did come with new head bolts i would buy the arp studs anyways.
A marine kits sounds awesome. Wish you could remember where you saw that kit Ghost.
