i just put on some Mickey thompson mtz's 33x13.50xr18 and the steering wheel shakes pretty good driving around 55-65mph. is this casue of the tires? is there anything i can do to get rid of the shaking? i had toyo m/ts on before these and it didnt shake what so ever

You need to balance them as well.

i had a local small tire shop put mount and balance them. well suppose to. i just know i had those toyos same size and had no shake at all. i had them mount and balanced at a performanc truck shop.

I would question the small shop as to how they were balanced. largertires need a different type of balance....cannot remember what it is called but it is another step in the balancing process. Search here and see what you come up with.

yeah i'll do that. also ever since i put these tires on i hear this tapping sound like theres a rock in my tire coming from the front drivers side. i only hear it once i get up to 55-65mph. oncei hit the brakes and start to slow down it goes away. is this from the tires? it never did this with my toyos. only differener between my toyos and the mickeys are the mickeys are 13.50x18 wide and the toyos were 12.50x20 wide.
