I am due for the transfer case service.
Do not want to buy the expensive stealers special oil, with a fancy name.
What is the aftermarket equivalent?????

ATF(unless you have the auto deal in the 1/2 tons and such). I use Mobil 1 in mine. 2 quarts at around 5 bucks a quart. The way to go IMO or you could use dyno or any other syn ATF. Mobil 1 is my current fluid of choice.

Mine is the 1500, and has the "auto 4-wheel drive" feature.
So does that require special oil???
Owners manual calls it "Auto-Trak II".
Thanks

If you've got the big round "auto" button at the top of your controls, you're stuck with the AutoTrak II, kb. There is no aftermarket equivalent that I know of and you need the special friction modifiers in the Auto Trak II because of the clutch pack in your transfer case.

Well, I jumped to soon.
Didn't even think of Eric.
I get a break on the price at this dealership, so only paid .23 cents more ea. than Eric.
