Hello all!
I hope everybody is having a happy new year. Don't let the news bring you down. Things could be worse.

Anyway, I've had my truck about two years and it's time to change something on it...keep it fresh...add something new. I've been thinking about getting the Pioneer Avic Z2 head unit. It really has everything I want plus with the correct modules, I can maintain all the factory controls.

What I really want is Navigation, DVD player, Televesion/digital. I can use a digital box and mount it somewhere. The current head unit is fine with me...6 disc changer, XM and On-Star, which I really do not use. But I use XM and the discs.

Does anybody have the Avic Z3 or some sort of computer?

One thing I'm looking for is a GPS with a video in or something and then I can just get a TV tuner and a DVD play and just imput them in to that.

Do you have the VSS & Back Up Wires Connected?

Z3 is an excellent unit. All civilian GPS units will run a little off. I have Pioneer in both trucks and Garmin Zumo 550 on the Harley and I can tell you they are both off a little. I like the Pioneers better.

You can't have the "best of both worlds"!

Ok, because I was gonna say the Maps will be slightly off if they aren't Connected. You're ETA, exact Location on the Road, Distance to Exit, ect...
