My question is whether or not gauges are of any benefit to those of us running stock tunes? Are they a good tool to have while towing with that stock tune or do they only come in to play when boost or high tunes are involved? Also, with the selection of gauges out there which ones are of most importance i.e pyro, fuel press, boost. . . .

Its always nice to monitor egts if you plan to tow with the truck. Boost and pyro are the best. You cant fun fuel pressure unless running a lift pump.

Atleast an egt gauge. Even stock you can put the egts over 1200.
Boost is fun to have but won't do or mean much on a stock truck. Maybe if you have an issue the boost gauge may help you diag. the issue.
I would look into a program/tuner, even if stock. Makes a world of difference...you'll love your truck so much more.

Unless you get a rub hole in your intercooler tube then the Boost gauge will come into play.
