None of the 5" kit's are from the turbo back there is not enough room for 5" pipe

It Starts to be 5" at about the middle of the front door

Ok so if I get a 5" exhaust I also have to buy the down pipe to go with it right?

Are you talking about getting a real down pipe or just a front pipe.

you aint gonna need a big downpipe if all your running is a edge... the 5inch pipe you get in the kit is more then enough

Yes I,m talking about a real down pipe, that way I don,t have to look for another down pipe upgrade later , I know I got an edge but I can upgrade that too lol.

The S6020AL will bolt up to the bottom of the down-pipe. This is more than enough for 99% of people out there. Let me know if I can help.

If you wanting a true downpipe for a stock charger, your going to pay as much for the downpipe, as you will for the rest of the whole exhaust IN STAINLESS. Bought 7 hundy for the true down pipe last time i looked!

The only company that make a down pipe for the lby is TTS, it's like $650...and it will not work with any other aftermarket turbo as it bolts to the turbo like the stock downpipe. This is only true on the lb7.

You will be getting a down pipe back exhaust most likely.

5" is pretty big...some people have complained that it felt like they lost low end with the 5"...no dyno numbers to show it but they say it feels like it lost torque. A 4" is plenty for all most all trucks unless you want to run in the 600+ range.

If there is a good price difference I would just do the 4" with a 5" tip.

Nate (DSTRBD) hooked me up when I got my exhaust! Good guy, I would buy from him again if I needed to. Give him a ring and he'll set you up with an exhaust and a tip if you want one...

I bought the magnaflow 5 inch turbo back exhaust system. It was an easy install, and it fit perfect. I left out the muffler tho, cuz the inside diameter of it was only 3 inches!

On these mufflers will the fiberglass eventually burn off like regular glasspacks? I just installed mine today but am now back away from my truck and didnt really get on it so Im not sure how quiet or loud it is. Im guessing in a few thousand miles it will eventually burn off like glasspacks maybe a bit longer as the muffler costs about 10x the price.

I dont think so, most muffler use stainless steel wool and/or ceramic blanket. Some just use a hollow can.

Bummer. I was looking at the pics though of someone who cut out there muffler and it looked like it was just regular yellow fiberglass. Hmm I might have to cut out the muffler then

I like the sound of the 5" magnaflow better than the Banks 4" kit.

Rick D Lance makes one as well. I have looked at his. I think they sell for $350 which is much cheaper and I believe it is stainless. I will be ordering one when I put my 5" on. Shoot him a pm he will fix you up.
