How Long Should It Take After Installing A Stage 4 Suncoast For The Alli To Start Shifting Correctly? Just Curious!

Hopefully you reset your taps? It should shape up after a handfull of shifts in each particular range(low throttle upshift and down shift, mid throttle and WOT up and down) Reseting your taps will speed things up greatly and sometimes it seems like you need to reset em to get it to play nice. Allison can be a flakey BCensored sometimes but noramlly she will figure stuff out.....

Like rat has said before, it's not about miles, it's about number of shifts.

And as Kennedy has said before, it seems like old Alli does better when she gets a little study break in between lessons for some odd reason. I really don't understand it, but I've noticed the same thing with my truck at least.

And here's a real weird one: My tow/haul has gotten significantly better, and I haven't been driving in tow/haul! She may have some odd habits during the learning process, but she always seems to do well on the tests...

How do you reset the taps? I just purchased a used truck, is there any reason to reset them for it to learn my driving style?

It dosnt learn twards your style, but it will learn twards power level and load ect. It will figure itself out. Reseting the TAPS and putting it into fast learn will speed up the process and is very helpfull if you do major mods or sometimes if the allison gets flaked out it needs a lobotomy. You rest em via a scanner.

With a good scanner or a Copilot.

With a good scanner or a Copilot.
I HAVE A CO-PILOT. THERE'S NOTHING IN THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT A FAST LEARN. IS THIS FEATURE ONLY IN THE RESENT VERSIONS. I GOT MINE ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO.

Copilots are known for keeping the Ally in fast learn from what I have experienced. It is just something it does on its own imho.

In my experience, it isn't like the Alli ever stops learning! For example, it snowed today, and I had to drive easy to avoid sliding off the damn road--shifts were therefore a little harder since I had been driving more aggressively the last time I drove it. Once the weather clears up and I drive more aggressively, the shifts will be a little wierd until she learns again...
