To buying some indexed keys, sorta same as green keys I guess. I have the Torsion bars cranked now and I expect about another 1" or so leveling ability.Giving near a level ride.

Question is at the same time I'd like to go with Bilstein,or stien 5100 Zinc.Since I'm increasing my front travel I'd like to go with shocks that are designed for a lifted truck, say 4",front only.

Which ones do I need?

You a help'a me,I a help'a you Bilstein or is it Bilstien sellers :)

Your truck has a set amount of wheel travel designed into the front end, cranking the bars only moves the suspension to the top of the travel. You loose down travel when you do it. I don't think lifted shocks will be needed.

I'd also experiment with moving the lower shock mounts up. I've learned that when you jack up the front of your truck with a floor jack, the shock is what lifts the tire off the ground. There is still some room left before the upper A arm meets its stop. Again, longer shocks will also do the trick but I think 4 inches over stock might be too much.

See if you can get the Cognito shock bracket for the lower arm. This might give you enough travel.

If you raise the lower shock mount if the suspension cycles hard enough to hit the bump stop something will be damaged. More than likelly the shock will collapse.
The best way to solve this is remove the t bars and cycle the suspension full droop to full stuff and see what you come up with. You may end up with a shock thats maybe a 1/2 inch longer but not enough to justify doing all this work.

Ok no shocks I'll try with the Ranchos.I broke a shock once before, not on this truck, yet on limited down travel and a pot hole.I thought with a possible longer shock then down travel wouldn't be inhibited by the shock but a bump stop

The only thing is that confuses is me unless it's a rip is they say that I will achieve a 1.7" lift.I'm aware that that that is what I have right now with the stock keys and threads still showing.

I was going to reset adjustment after keys were in to that same setting and get another alignment.Near a 3" lift.Impossible?Guesstimit

Soooooo another inch available? We'll see I guess

That high is a bad idea IMO. launching in 4x4 is also prabably going to be a no go

I just but a set of green keys from dmaxallitech and set put the bolts where they were stock and found that the truck sat 3" higher. I only wanter 2" for ride quality. I lower them down to 2.25" and the keys are close to the bolt adjuster. So you can easliy get 3". Guess I'll see whats it like after the alignment today.

I took the truck to MR.TIRE to get the alignment. They just called to tell me that they want to put a new set of cams since it is lifted higher but they want $250 for them. I guess I'll let them get it as close as possible. Any suggestions

2 inch longer front shock should do the trick
