You could but why? The TCM is always adjusting the TAPS as the trans wears. It only takes about 5 mins to do it and a couple more if the fast relearn process is available in your TCM, I believe it is starting in 04.

IIRC the min a dealer would charge (if at all ) would be 35.00

Or buy a programmer that can do it for you

Thanks mine is an 02 dmax 4x4 cc , I put tires 285's on the truck they seem to not agree with the banks six gun

Yes the dealer should be able to do it. They may ask why though. Any shop with a tech 2 or a snapon scanner or the like can do it too. I paid a shop 25$ to reset mine. Took just a few minutes. Were are you located? There may be a member here that would be willing to do it for you

Mine does the same, when I drive it easy. If I drive a little more aggressively, it shifts better. It never did re-learn "completely". If I reload the factory tune, it shifts better. It would be nice to get it to shift the same with or without a tune loaded. It's been close to 3,000 miles since I first loaded a tune in it.
