Hello

I have searched the forums with no real results for this issue.

I have a 1998 GMC K2500 The courtesy lights are staying on all the time.

I have replaced the following:
Headlight switch
left and right door switches
chime module

When I replace the fuse I hear a relay clicking under the dash. Can anyone tell me what/where this relay is.

During google searches it appears this truck does not use a BCM but rather a time delay relay. Where is it located?

Any help troubleshooting this is appreciated.

What happens when you press the dome over-ride switch?

Hate to ask, but have you left the lights on by way of the dash dimmer control? Double check the door switches.

Nothing happens when I hit the override.

I have tested every possible configuration. I think the problem lies in the time delay device, but I cannot locate it. according to some parts sites they have a listing for a time delay relay which shares the same part number as the headlight relay, but going through the relay box under the hood and the one under the dash. I can't find anything that controls headlights or the courtesy lights.

The only schematic that I have for your truck shows an *Interior Lamp Control Module*... It doesn't say where it's located, but should be a box (?) with 5 wires going to it.
Gry, Org, Wht, Pnk, Blk.

The *Remote Control Door Lock Receiver* could also be suspect, if you have one ---- 4 wires to it.
