Ive read all the posts on this instal (BOOST/PYRO), but Im still sketchy on the electrical part of this. I have an 04.5 LLY

1. Is it ok or not to run the lights into the dimmer switch?

2. If it is, what color wire is it that I need to splice into?

3. If it is not, what color wire do I need to splice into for the
lights? Dont really care to dim them or not.

4. For the hot(ignition) wire for my pyro, if I go into the fuse
box, which fuse needs to tapped?

5. If I cannot go into the fuse box, what color is the wire I
need to splice into and where is it located?

Thanks for the help guys.

Just use a test light to find the wire on the back of the dimmer box that dims up and down with the lights I believe it is brown and yellow, but don't quote me. The wiring was the easy part when I did mine. the one thing I had a problem with was making sure the boost line does not get bent. The hole where you bring the wires and boost line through should line up more with the boost guage to keep the boost line from pinching. As for a ignition wire I just used the test light to fined one under the dash and spliced into it.

There is a cluster box under the dash on the fire wall next to your left foot. If you remove the cover and look at the outlets inside, the 2nd outlet on the top has a terminal for the parking lights. It's for trailer brake harness, but that terminal is unused. I picked power up from there for my cab lights. Just a thought.
