well smoke isnt always good thats what gets the treehuggin barkeaters on our asses smoke is fun when it is used in the right places but dont just go out laying clouds down every where

Don't know why you don't have smoke. Mine smokes like a train on 5 - 5, tow/haul, four wheel drive!

The best way I found to get some smoke while on the go with juice is to put it in tow haul and lug it down to about 55 and then roll on it. You just have to learn by trial and error. The real fun one is the tts xtreme I just got it and I can some at any time.

Now to the serious part of the post, My diablo doesn't smoke a lot. It really depends on the situation, if its not lugged at all I will only get a little puff. If I am lugging it and drop it to the floor, you are going to get a decent little cloud. Even then its nothing major. Just enough for people to wonder how the hell a big ass truck that's blowing smoke is outrunning them.

It should puf a bit if you mash the gas from a dead stop with no boost. Are you feeling a big noticable power gain? An edge wont blow smoke like a freight train. You could be slipping your trans and it could be pulling out fuel too, dirty fuel filter ect......

Leave it in the 90 hp added leve(4 on a regular juice) IMO, defuel on all shifts

Also what do you have your EGT back down set at?

I do get a puff of smoke when I smash it to the floor. Egt is set at 1400. I normally run it on level 3. I will change the filter to see what happens. I only go to 5 when someone needs to be shown that the ole' Dmax can run with the best of them. The truck runs great very noticeable power gains. I noticed that some guys are running egts way up 1600-1800 is this safe? I know my truck will hit 1500 with no problem if I set it up that way but only did that once. Thanks

Its not really safe to run egts that high I think most of us try to keep it below 1350 as the safe number.

1250 or so sustained is about as high as you want to go, for the 1/4 mile dont worry about it though. I burry my 1600* pyro in the 1/4 but dont tow with it that high, that would nuke things

level 3 wont smoke much.

IMO I would set the power level to the max you want to run and keep it there. Only time I back it down is when I am loaded(back it to level 2 max on your truck) or when I hit the interstate and set cruise I will click her down a bit. On a stock allison you should keep it at the 90hp level on a LB7 or level 4 on a regular juice attitude max. You can get away with playing in 125 but you are more than likely doing unseen damage. If you dont mind the thought of a trans upgrade then set her to kill and dont worry about it though. Also if you have a stock trans leave your defueling on on all shifts. Also if you want better throttle response and a tad more smoke make sure your low boost fueling is turned all the way to level 5 on the attitude.

Your truck sounds fine though.
