:help: Bad news....I locked my keys into the truck hundreds of miles from civilization. After reading in here about how thieves break into these trucks I broke into mine. Good news...Now I need to get a new lock and handles for my truck ESCALADE!:ro) Can anyone tell me the bast way to get new handles and lock, a good vendor. What about keying the spare tire lock? Man i can't secure my ride until i get repaired. :grd:

I was thinking last night maybe just get two RR and two LR and eliminate the lock cylinder (since i ruined it with the screwdriver). I think I read on a tread that i have to modify the rears to work on the front is that right?

Yep.
Do you really want to lose the one lock, though? You should be able to get another from the dealer, and have it keyed correctly. Heck, Eric may even have them....

Yep I'm losing the lock.:ro) I never use it anyway. And... if the battery malfunctions on my keyless entry. I can always cut the new handle just like i did the old and get in. or just get a new battery:lol:

OK, did some searching....
Here's one describing the install and some info for the rear-to-front you want to do. Read the WHOLE thread, because your 04 has a different way to attach the lock switch plate.

Yep and somewhere I get to use a torx bit to get something loose too. This place is great. Saves money:lol: Check out the signatures of the members. I can't believe it was so simple to break into a $45,000. truck. How hard is it to steel once your in?
