Anyone that has this intake what did you notice that was better than the stock set-up?

I have it now but would like to hear from others.

Thanks!

I have one one my truck. I would't say a night and day difference but I can hear the turbo a little more. After jumping back and forth between programming levels, 10hp doesn't become real noticeable.

I also run of the VOLANT system in my truck. Works good. Like the look of the close to stock box but big box, filter, and intake tube. Take a look at the link below in my signature. IF you like more/close up photos of the Volant, just PM me.

the stock air tube is a bigger diameter than volant. plus i feel that iam running out of air at higher boost/rpm with the volant.the air box opening is so close to the inner fender that it cant get enough air. the 2"hole in the bottom of the air box is not enough. i took mine off.the factory system seems to work better

I took my tinfoil off of the inner fender. The side hole in the Volant box matches up to the fender hole. I'm very happy with mine. It's a better system than the K&N intake I had, which was somewhat flimsy because of the way the intake tube is supported.

I was told not to get an aftermarket intake system for my truck. Guy at Rolling Big Power told me that when they tested the trucks that the chevy ran better w/out the aftermarket intake...I still have my stock one!

It runs better with the stock intake? I would like to see that proven....

According to them yes it runs better with the stock intake. Gonemax seems to think the same thing..read his post.

That's the first post I've ever seen saying that an aftermarket intake system can't supply enough air. A gauze filter is MUCH less restrictive than the oem paper filter. Again, not as efficient as filtering the air, but less restrictive. This is the only point I'm trying to make. Over and out.

It probably has alot to do with the cost vs. how much improvement you get, not enough bang for the buck.
but I have not got one soo...
