so i bought an '02 cc 4x.

the previous owner removed something from under the front bumper. there was a hole on the left side of the dash by the left driver's knee, about 3/8" diameter. maybe a switch? there was a wire going to it from a bullet style connector unprofessionally stuffed into a fuse junction in the fuse box. after the switch, it went through the firewall, down the fender, and ended under the front bumper. also, one of the tow hooks up front was loose (evidence that that someone removed it to get to the next mentioned bolts). under the front of the frame rails, there are two bolts hanging down that were holding something. judging by the two bolts, they were bigger than lights, but smaller than a snow plow. the truck came from the dallas ft worth area. the truck came with a ranch hand style bumper on the back, but stock up front. maybe they had a custom bumper up front with some lights on it? i just can't think of what after market stuff people put up there.

winch? i hadn't thought of that, and that's a reasonable guess. the only thing that makes me think no, is that the truck was not lifted. *i think* :eek:

Could be an old K40 radar detector. They had a small single knob for control. Any evidence of something mounted in the rear too. Some had dual heads.

If your truck didn't come with factory fog lights, then I would bet it was aftermarket fog lights.

nothing in the back (as far as power being wired). there is a custom rear bumper though. it has factory fog lights.

but... i found the original owners address in the warranty book. :muahaha: i think i'll send a note asking for full disclosure and grant immunity. i wonder if they will be totally honest with everything they know if i tell them that i'm better off knowing everything and i won't say anything back.

big brush guard like a manich(sp) with some large lights, would bolt to tow hooks on some models, front receiver tube kit with a removable winch, for farming dont need a lift for that, snow plow(dont know how they go on)

Would guess it had an aftermarket bumper with a winch judging by the connector.
