Looking to install and xm radio to my existing radio in my 05 silverado. What colors on the factory harness are the ground, constant hot and accesory?I may have spliced the wrong ones , since when i tried the truck would not start, any ideas on that as well?

Are you installing the factory XM or an aftermarket setup?

Its an aftermarket unit (the commander)

I guess it really depends on what harness you were trying to splice into?

I am trying to splice into the harness that goes from from truck into the back of my radio. I just need to know what color wire are the constant hot, ground and accesory wire.

(Is there a website that has a wiring schematic of my radio harness that tells me what each color wire in my stock radio harness coincides with.)
