Yesterday it was -18F had the van plugged in , started fine , 15 minute warm-up . Started driving it and it was not getting any rpm , check engine light came on , the code came up as low fuel rail pressure . I switched to my gasser Suburban which died after driving it 2 hours , no fuel at the Shraeder . Probably frozen fuel line or bad fuel pump (don't hear it running) Back to the van , it started running fine , probably gelled is my theory . I had put 16 ounces Power Service in the last fill up and changed the filters to prepare for this weather . Do you have any other ideas what would have failed in the van ? Thank God its been 10 years since its been this cold around here .

You still have exposed fuel lines and tank , it might help from clogging the filters I guess .

The dealer called about the Suburban , $1,300 for replacing the fuel pump and tow  . I told him to come back with a sane figure or its on the hook out of there

I use to get that code if my filters were close to changing when I was doing a full throttle merge and then some.

It did help that day when it was -20 and colder. It helped to keep just enough heat in to keep going. I am actually still running the same filters from that day. I also run in tow/haul mode when it that cold out to keep rpms up and fuel temps.
