I got a quadzilla that im having problems with and i was driving around looking at the stats and it said boost was 14.6 at idle and at WOT it peaked at 35 or so. Thats too much OR this isnt accurate, Whats the deal? The truck was bought stock and it doesnt go fast or anything... scramHD 01-16-2009, 06:51 PM Hehe. OK the boost reading is correct. But.....it is reading from MAP sensor. Not actual boost. 14.6 is atmostpheric pressure. So if it peaks at 35 your only making 18-20psi, which is correct. You need exhaust temp gauge. You need actual boost gauge. Tranny temp on cluster is good enough. You want more boost, go online to PPE website, buy a boost increase valve. 30 bucks and it does increase boost about 8psi or so. Works best with 100hp tune or more, intake and exhaust mods. (I run it with a 250+ hp tune. Its modded a little to restrict boost to 30psi. (right??) there is two wires in the a-pillar for each gauge(pyro and boost) anyway I only hit 22 psi MAX even on level 6. it smokes like a bastard on level 6 but runs pretty good. is the boost gauge right about the psi? Is the big head wastegate adjustable or should I add PPE increase valve? my buddys 01 hits 32 psi and doesn't smoke like mine does. ( with edge) he pulls me off the line but I run him down pretty fast and walk away.. | ||
