My lease is up and GMC is making quite an offer to "pull ahead" into a new 2008 diesel vehicle. I love my 2005 truck but because of my residual the difference between a brand new truck and buying mine is about 7K. Are there any major problems with the 2008 that I'd be kicking myself for getting into. The time is right because I was about to replace transmission fluid with transynd and I need new tires. What do you guys think?

I had a 2006 Duramax and I traded it for my 2008 and I absolutley love it, However if you are going do modifications to your truck I would keep the 05. My 08 is stock and I have had no issues and I pull 16+lbs 5th wheel as fast I want to go. Hope this helps!
