I just ordered my new 2009 gmc reg cab srw 4x4 3500 duramax. I am interested in getting a banks kit on the truck. I want to get rid of the dpf though. banks work with that chip wise?? what about their exhaust?? I heard an earlier exhaust from like an 2006 will fit the 2009 and doesnt have the dpf and what not. Any truth to that???

Banks does not offer DPF delete. If you delete the DPF then you will need either PPE or Quad to do so. Or EfiLive as the other option. You can still use the banks exhaust but need to get the DPF delete pipe for flange connection to connect to the banks exhaust. Not sure who makes it though. Many post on that in the exhaust section.
Yes same exhaust from classic GMT-800 platforms works on the NBS GMT-900 platforms. Just most vendors do not list DPF delete for probably legality reasons. But order classic system and no problem.
Call Nate who is the supporting vendor for the Exhaust section here on the forum. He can get you what you need. http://www.performancetruckproducts.com/
Just want to warn you of possible lose of warranty on reprogramming the ECM which is the only way for DPF delete to work. Many post in the LMM engine section on that.

We have had good luck stacking the Quadzilla Stealth 2 tuner with Banks kit. We have done several of those combo's with very good results. Any exhaust from an 01-07 Classic will bolt right up. You will have to fool with the pipes a little with the single cab, but they do fit without any bending or welding.

Yes, they will. The hangers wont line up otherwise. Let me know if I can help.

It shouldnt, because all of the mounts are the same, just different body.
