what will bolt to a duramax, th400/350, 4l80/4l80e, that is shorter in length than an allison?

putting one in a 72 blazer and the over all length is a bit long.

Any of the standard 90 degree bellhousings will bolt to the DMAX. The problem is that not many will hold up even in built form. It has been discussed that a 4L85E built up should hold up to a slightly modded DMAX if the vehicle is light, but a heavy truck or one towing will have a short life.

whats the difference between that and 4l80 or 4l80e

are they a whole lot smaller than the allison.

truck has a 6 inch on it, cv already on the driveline, and dont really wanna body lift or major mod to tranny hump.
