I'm trying to put the high idle in my truck and cant get the plastic cover off the back of the blue ECM connector.

What is the trick to getting that cover off so I can access the pin location?

At the end of the connector you have squeeze the tabs. I used pliers to help a little. Luckily I didnt break it.

yeah pliers did the trick for me. each end, and in the middle, there are tabs that go into the back of the ecm which are a PITA to depress.

Those are a little tricky. I stole some terminals out of a scrapped caddy northstar ECM connector (same as the LB7 ECM) and yea that cover is a pain to get off. I ended up worming the terminals out of the connector with the cover on. Now installing them on my dads truck will be a different story. Thanks for the pointer.
