I have a 2006 duramax lbz crewcab. Just brought it in to have the tranny cooler lines replaced, they were leaking. I have been offered GM extended warranty info and prices for the last few years.
With GM possibly going under, should I still consider their warranty, or is their a reputable third party warranty company out their that would be just as good or better than GM?
My truck currently has 35,500+ miles on it.My buddy who has a Dodge with the cummins in it thinks I am crazy not to get any protection with these diesel trucks,he bought an extended warranty from doge when he bought the truck. He is also a diesel mechanic and said when they break they are very expensive to fix.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

we have the platm warranty with chevy by fidlity, and as for chevy going under, dont worry italked to by wifes uncle and he's with the union and works for chevy and he says that this is just buss, this is normal and that they are not going under,as for your warranty make sure it comes from chevy because u can get ripped off as for coverage , and mke sure your policy is for 2 or 4 wheel drive there is 2 differant policies, use your vin# for correct policy.
