what color was the oil? I don't remember any oil being in the vaccume pump. but them i only changed mine once and when the second one stopped working, i changed over to a turbo master.

seemed just like regular engine oil. now this unit is connected to the pulley which rotates the lobe that operates the diaphram. so it is this lobe which needs the oil. just don't want to under fill or over fill.

It should be a splash oiling system so I would think that as long as there is some to splash you are good. But I would not go over half full. It is just a 1 lobe cam Any motor oil should work. I think I saw a post here saying 30 w. My thoughts Why not a mixed weight. Better lube hot or cold. I would put 5/30 in it. That is if you want the ecm to do you boost.
I was die hard ecm for boost till my vac pump failed. So I made A turbo master and you could not pay me to go back.
