Post turbo EGT gauge?
not terribly accurate.
Doing post turbo with a digital gauge would be as useful as a meat thermometer checking oil temperature..... and about as accurate.
Just my experience
I have see UNDER LOAD while towing a 500F spread between preturbo and post turbo gauges depending on ambient temperature and elevation.
Turbos are driven by exhaust heat and as such they absorb a tremendous amount of heat.
cruising empty at 75 MPH there is only about 150F difference; but if you load the mule, believe me, 500F is no exaggeration!

whatever type of gauge you decide to get I would suggest installing it PRE-turbo in the manifold. That is the best and most accurate place to get a reading.

As far as digital v analog: The digital pumps out all those wonderful little numbers that your brain must translate to good / bad. When the needle on an analog gauge hits the redline you know it's time to back out. Ever notice that 10 min after looking at a digital watch you need to look again to know what time it is, whereas looking at a watch with hands it sticks.
I am in the process of adding a triple guage pillar, the top two will be autometer analog, the bottom will hold the Attitude monitor. ):h

My single digital gauge flashs at a preset temp/pressure. No need to look at it.

:exactly:
The SPA gauge has a programmable warning light, set it and forget it.

I put in Isspro gauges for egt (post turbo/downpipe) and boost. Best thing I ever did.
Couple months ago I put in the Edge/Attitude (manifold for the egt probe).
Just got back from a tow of the 5th wheel to Vegas.
The Isspro was pretty much consistently 250 to 300 deg lower than the Attitude. Climbing the famous "Baker Grade", 22 miles of 6-7% the egt/Isspro was at 1000, the Attitude was showing 1300, tranny was 190, engine at 201, boost at 16-18.
Ran like a top.
Mainly due to the Suncoast Level III, and Trans Go kit Mike L in Inglewood did for me last year. Best money my extended warranty ever spent on me.

How did you get your extended warranty to upgrade your transmission?
I would like to go that direction eventually.
Right now, I'm just running an Edge / Attitude. I will be going to a 4" turbo-back exhaust, finger stick and EGR block off. Is there an intake that will give me any real benefits? I just want to do the exhaust to bring down the EGT's when I'm towing heavy and fast. Either way, the more power I put to it, the sooner I'm gonna have to deal with the Allison.

What is the best way to tap the manifold before the turbo? Can you still use the drill with the engine running like post turbo?

I did mine pre turbo with the engine running, sorry I don't have any readings yet as I have not quite finished the install. I am still working on the turbo boost gauge. Hope to have in finished by tomorrow afternoon. The test will be this friday when I take the truck to Laughlin from So Cal.
