My 01 GMC has shut off on me twice in the last couple days. It did it one night right after I started it up about 500' down the road, the battery light flickered, the truck lost power and then resumed, and that was that. Today, I was coming home, after a 30 minute drive on the highway, It totally shut off. I put it in neutral and restated while moving. It fired back up with no problems. It seems to have a rough idle in gear, not enough to move the tach, but I can hear it. I also noticed sometimes it feels like the pedal is dead, give it some more throtle, then bam, it moves. When floored, it has great power. I have Juice with Attitude set at 0, and Predator set at 100. The truck has 62000 miles. I bought it 2 months ago. There is sealant oozing out from the valve covers, and the upper radiator hose clamp isn't correct, so I think at one point injectors (how many I don't know) have been replaced. I am getting 12mpg city driving letting it run for 20 mins before I leave the house and work. It idles longer than my drive to work. I am going to unhook the Juice to see if that is the problem. Could it be the injector pump, fpr? TIA

definately start with removing the edge. While at it double check your battery cables and the 10mm nut on the back of your alternator. Right next to your alternator is your FICM. There is a bracket that comes up right there with some wiring that may rub. Check that FICM bracket for wire rubbing as well.
Hope this helps, let us know.
Some people have complained of the edge causing intermittent problems - the easiest way to test it is to remove it.

Definately the Edge. Send it back. It's a free update service.

Edge is possible but if it is disconnecting it will stop the problem. I had a similar issue that turned out to be a crankshaft position sensor. Poor mileage can accompany that also.
