I getting ready to purchase a 40 gallon capacity fuel tank toolbox comb, but it doesn't come with any of the hoses, valves or clamps. The company that I would like to buy from has a kit but its for Fords and Dodges. Any idea's on a web site that a good kit could be purchased. Its for a 2007 Chevy 2500hd Silverado Classic short bed. Thanks for your help.

Northern tool or delta or knnack products have them. Hoses, pumps etc can be picked up at your local farm store

got the northern tool kit myself...

Word of advice, use some loctite on the threaded connections (on top of teflon tape) to keep from leaking...

FYI, the fuel gauge will go to empty if there has been no "movement" in tank for 100 miles.. will reset once it moves again...

I got the kit to tie it into the main tank... I had a custom tank made to fit in front of the sliding toolbox... and under my cover...

I have seen the tanks at northern tool and they look good...

Does anyone know of a tank that is powdercoated black for less than 1200$. The only one I've found is the transfer flow, but the price is a bit much.

Do a google search on Dually Depot in Elkhart, IN. they can ship you what you need. The fuel tank adapter is like $15. Pump, switch on the dash, relay, some hose and wire, and you are good to go!
The gravity flow will screw with your fuel gauge. A pump and switch, refill on the fly, and your gauge still works. I added a fuel gauge to my aux tank so I know whats in it too.

check out RDS aluminum products out of perry fl.. they have a 60 gal and 90 gal toolbox combo in the $700's....i pieced my own kit together for under $50 including the biodiesel rated hose...i had 2 ball valves , 1 at the bed tank and 1 at the end of the fill hose under the truck... worked like a charm...id let my factory tank run down to a 1/4 or so and open the valves... once the tank in the bed got be level with my pump and filter ( mounted in the bed next to the tank) it wouldnt gravity feed anymore .. so id push the magic button and off we'd go... never had a problem with the guage go to E and then reseting though..

Just installed the RDS 51 gal tank/toolbox combo.

Did you cut your stock filler hose and put in the fitting with the flow control ball ?
