Other then a tranny upgrade, can a person run this tune with out having to add anything or is a lift pump or anything else like that required?

I've tried it on my truck without anything else done to it. It WILL limp the trans on the 4-5 shift, up or down. It smoked a lot too. IMO the 85 horse setting was the best one to use. Way more power than the 65 and the trans won't hate you. With the predetor on the 85 horse setting my truck made 390 horse and 710 tq. Now I have an EFILive tune in my truck and I would never go back to anything else.

Thats good to know. I'm already planning on a tranny update. I was just curious if after I did that if I would have to do more or not til I can get a DSP5 switch and have someone upload tunes for me.

i had to put a shim kit in mine with the predator...85hp setting would send mine into limp mode. after the shim kit i haven't had a problem though

The pred on the lly is a 100hp not a 120. I have been running mine all the way up for about 5k now and havent had much of a problem. Sometimes it will limp the engine and throw a p1093 code( low fuel rail pressure during power enrichment) I try to take it easy on the 4-5 and am prepared to do the trans so if you are ready to do that then run it all the way up. PPE makes a fuel rail shim that will solve that problem. I have an updated version with all the connections to download upgrades if you are interested.

its made by ppe. it will help with the p1093 code. its basically two little washers the goes in your fprv (fuel pressure relief valve) on your driver side fuel rail. it helps keep your fuel pressure up for bigger tunes. its cheaper then installing a lift pump. but if your planning on running really big tunes from efi live or ppe tuner your probably better off with a lift pump. in my opinion.

I always thought the GM versions weren't internet upgradeable. Also I'm pretty sure the top tune is 120 H.P.

I downloaded the newest version and it still says 100hp on the top tune.
