the most pulse width i can support above 21k psi is 2300. i have no lift pump and i just changed my fuel filter, is this normal or is my cp3 weak? also with 2300us and 30* of timing about how much power would that put me at, high 300s?

also, is it a bad idea to play with b1010 to try for better rail pressure or not. like if i set a lower value for the last few boxes would it help?

30* of timing on the main pulse width is a lot, especially for 2300us of timing. That puts almost 75% of the pulse prior to TDC @ 3000RPMs. Not deadly, but dangerous ... IMHO

My LB7 will support 160MPa @ 2800us for inexcessive of 15seconds with no lift pump.

30* is only from 3100 rpms up. at 2600 its at 18* 2800 is 23*

That makes a little more sence.

I'm sure a some others have dyno numbers to back up such injection parameters, but I'd have to say its in that 375-400rwhp.

Are you commanding more then the 21ksi (144MPa), or is that all the rail achieves when commanded to 23ksi(160MPa)?

thats all it achieves, 22-21k. il try adjusting b1010 tommarow to see if that helps. if i could get her up to 24-2500 at 21k psi how much power do you think thatd be good for.

the numbers in my sig are pre lift pump if thats what your looking for i had the pulse up as high as i could before it started cuttin out an iirc it was about 2500ms at 19k psi

2300 is about all my '01 CP3 would support before the lift pump. It's on the weak side, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

hey chevydieselsmoker, whats the point, wouldn't it be better to have less duration at a higher psi then a lot of duration at a really low psi? if 19000 is safe territory i could probably run allot more duation.

when i had it on the dyno i tried about 10 or so different tunes and runnin 2300ms at 21k was just under 398hp i think the extra 200ms at a lower rail pressure only gave it an extra 20hp

how much timing were you running to make 400hp? and that was pre lift pump numbers right?

~27 at 3k rpm, and yes pre lift pump
