i have the above double din in dash dvd deck. i bought the add on navigation module that plugs inside and i dont get any gps signal. kit comes with an antenna so i gotta take everything apart to screw on that antenna. quick question, does it work with just the antenna tucked in the dash, or sticking to metal inside the dash right up by the windshield? i would prefer this instead of stringing through the whole truck and on the roof somewhere. wheres the best spot for this antenna. thanks! also comes with a microphone, do i really need that for the nav part or is that just for bluetooth?

Mount the Antenna on the Dash where it meets the Windshield. Mic is only for Hands Free.

Yea, I was always a Pioneer Head Unit person, then I got the D300 years ago when it first came out, and the amount of SQ it had over the Pioneer was enough to make me switch Brands.

Now the W505, with all it's Processing and Converters it has, will make anyone that is Mildly into Car Audio enjoy it. I have the H701 Processor added on to mine, and the amount of Control it gives you over the whole System is VERY useful in Fine Tuning the Sound.

i actually had to take mine out today, thats why im doing this antenna while its out and all apart anyways. supposed to get a new one tomorrow under warranty. the display on mine lost all the blue 2 days ago. looks like an old tv when you put a magnet to it. all it plays is black green and red so its looks messed right up. ive only had it for about 5 months and its been awesome till now, and they've never heard of that happening so hopefully its just a fluke thing and the new one will be good. oh well, i got the 4 year waranty for it lol. was thinking about picking up the pac swi-jack steering wheel contorl adapter too while its apart. do you have one on yours??

I have the Blackbird 200, but I've have nothing but problems with it. Alpine has had it for Repairs more than I've had it in my possession to use it. It won't last a Month without breaking. I don't even use it anymore. It's sitting in my Closet.
