I've never been satisfied with the amount of light coming out the front end of my truck. Unfortunately, I'm also cheap and the cost of most of the upgrades I found on the net were above what I thought was acceptable. Well, I finally found one I would take a chance on and it turned out pretty good! It cost about $44 shipped from xtremewhite.com. (http://www.xtremewhite.com/ORD-light~bulbs-1-Heavy~duty~Harness-no-23756-1-1-1-1.cfm) I'm not recommending any vendor or product over another, but this is the cheapest harness I found and I've looked for a while. I priced building a harness from scratch and I think this one actually costs less than going that route. The construction is very good, but there is room for improvement. The sockets for the lights are not as weatherproof as stock where the wire comes out of the plugs. Not a big problem for me. I just filled in back there with some high temp RTV. Also, the wires could be a little longer in certain spots but I can splice in more if I find it necessary.

I never believed this upgrade could make such a difference. Honestly I think the lights are at least 50% to 100% brighter.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif This particular harness is made for Toyota cars but was long enough to reach between my lights with a little slack (just enough to lift it comfortably above the hood latch in the center of the radiator). I shoved the battery connectors up through the hole behind the second battery and just left the solenoids lying on top of the battery for now. The ground lead is long enough to attach with a bolt through the existing hole in the ABS mounting bracket. The power side reaches to the AUX pole in the underhood fuse box. The two 40amp relays are lying on top of the battery for now..
