What company did you go with to get yours? and did they offer any tunes for the vans or did you have to make your own?

Give Nick a call at duramaxtuners.com. Only one I have dealt with EfiLive. Not sure if there is a big difference between van and truck. I do know lower HP/TQ on van. No idea if the OS on the van is anything close to the truck versions.

Figured they ran different OS releases. And probably different ECM maybe. Probably also no seperate TCM since no Allison.

Nick told me he would use a modified truck tune. I tried to use a stock truck tune and there was to many issues. I know EFILive said there was a couple of tables that were different.

The ECM's in the vans are the same as the trucks, however they have different table layouts which is why in many cases a standard handheld won't work. The van uses the T42 TCM which you can tune with EFILive.

You should be careful when adding power to the van, the 4L85E trans is very different to the Allison and can't hold as much power.

Cheers

I bet it was the bugshield that broke the tranny.

I'm surprised they didn't blame it on the 'oversized' tires. Good thing it was making noise before the tires went on.

What size tires are you running? I would like a taller tire next time around.

I think I started a tire size thread a while back in the van section... I put on 265/75/16 They are about 1 inch taller a little wider and look better imo.
