Hey themonkey,
what are you asking?

i see.... sorry i was so vague...
i was typing into a blackberry at 80 mph so i was keeping it short.

now i'm nestled into my sofa with a cup of java, so i'll be more clear. i was wondering what kind of adjustment to the speedometer or odometer others with 265's need to apply. the truck came stock with 245's, so i expected that i would cover more ground than my odo said so. turned out that it was less than a half mile over the course of 100 miles. that seems as close as you can expect off the showroom?

i bought the truck used, so if it is that close, do you think the previous owner had the speedo recalc'd? or is the adjustment really only a half mile? the tires are 265/75/16 with 11/32's left.

the calculator above, if i used it correctly, says that 245 roll out should be 30.5", and the 265 should be 31.6". that is > 3% different, which should have been over 3 miles for the 100 tested.

i think i'm going to go in for a reflash anyway, so i'll see if that changes it up at all.

When I went from 245s to 265s,the speedo in my truck is closer now than it was from the factory. I've checked it using GPS and one of the roadside radar trailers the Police dept. uses.

i would check it with a GPS if possible to see how close you are.
If you are using a predator or some other programmer that can adjust the speedo, you can play with the settings to get them just right.
