Hi guys i finally bought the '88 chevy that i asked about earlier for plates, do any of you guys know what kind of tranny it might have it it, its an injected 350 2wd, i don't think it has an overdrive but i havn't drove it fast enough to tell yet(just city driving) I got it for 1500 bucks, no rust, dents and it sat for a month before i bought it and it fired right up('bout the 3rd crank)

Probably a 700R4 or a Turbo 400. I had a 88 3500 single rear wheel work truck that had a turbo 400 3 speed, but had a 454. Poor truck got burnt to the ground by some punk kids on a job.

i figured it would be a three speed, but i have a '93 half ton with a injected 350 and a 700R4 and i was planning on swapping it out since it is totaled and i want some economy out of it, it could possibly be a daily driver. the only problem i have is that i know nothing about trannies and if it is even possible to swap them.

my 1990 had a 454 w/ turbo 400, just traded it in on my 08 lmm, it only had 96.000 miles on it
